Intel apresenta os Sandy Bridge-E Core i7-3960X para LGA2011
Intel põe ao dia sua plataforma mais especial, a destinada a profissionais que precisam uma grande potência de cálculo em apliaciones multi-fio e a que vai destinada aos usuários mais exigentes com os jogos, com uma plataforma pensada para o overclock e o suporte multiGPU.
Hoje a Intel apresenta os Sandy Bridge-E sob um novo socket, o LGA2011 que destaca por seu grande tamanho e suporte para quatro canais de memória simultâneos. Evidentemente para isso se requer de um novo chipset o X79.
Por enquanto Intel só lança o Core i7-3960X e o Core i7-3930K com preços muito diferentes e diferenças menores entre os dois, tal e como se pode comprovar na seguinte tabela:
